We had a baptism service in January and were able to baptise 2 people. God has really been working in our church, and we were able to constitute our church in January. Thank you for all your continued prayers for us.
As fall approaches here in the tropics I take time to reflect on the last year. I think about how many opportunities I was given to talk about our church, and talk about our Lord. I truly am thankful that God is using me here in Townsville, and I am thankful for all of the people that we have praying for us. Looking forward to the cooler weather, and having some family coming to visit this year.
As Fall turns the leaves, and as winter approaches I can't help but to look back at the last 4 months that we have been here in Blacktown, NSW, Australia and see where God has taken us from and where he is going to be taking us in the future. As of now we are going to be heading to Townsville, QLD, Australia at years end, and we will be working with a wonderful couple, Wayne and Lori Langford. We are looking forward to being settled into a place that we can call our own, and into a city that is in need of Christ. We are called to a country, and not a specific city, and each time I am reminded of that it really breaks my heart to think that there are people all across this wonderful country that are lost and departing into a Godless eternity every moment of every day. I wish that I could reach everyone, or that maybe through other Missionaries, and Pastors we can reach this country for Christ. May we all as Christians be the light in this dark world, standing for what we believe in, knowing our bible, and having a close relationship with our Heavenly Father.
Another school year is upon us, and I am sitting here thinking about all the students who are in the schools in Australia who are nearing the 4th quarter of their school year. Australia's school year runs from the first part of February until right before Christmas in December. Our visa process has hit a small snag, but we are still hoping for a late fall departure. Thank you again for all your prayers and support as we have been out on the road, and travelling. For all of those students out there just remember that you may be the only Bible that your fellow students may ever read, so be an example that others can see the Light of Christ in you!
With summer fast approaching, our calendar bookings have slowed down, and we are getting to spend some much needed time just relaxing and spending time with family. All our paperwork has been submitted to the Australian Government and now we are awaiting a response from them. We are still hoping for an August/September departure, and would love it if that happens. I would like to take this time to say "Thank You" to all of our supporting churches, and for all of those who prayerfully support us. May you all have a wonderful summer, and for those teens/counselors who go to summer camp, have a great summer camp!!!!
As the Holiday season quickly approaches I hope that everyone is doing well. This is the time of year when we stop to give Thanks for all that we have and have been given over the past year, and I truly hope that we all stop and thank our Heavenly Father for everything. I want to challenge you this year to keep Christ in your Christmas. God truly has given us the greatest gift that any of us could have ever been given and that is our salvation through his son Jesus Christ who came down to this earth as a baby, and died for our sins, and rose again the third day. May we all keep Christ in Christmas this year. Thank you again for all of your prayers and financial support. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!!
Well summer is definitely here, and it is HOT here in Texas. I hope that all is well with everyone who reads this, and that God is truly blessing. We are looking forward to what God has in store for us here in West Texas, and to meeting new people, and worshipping with God's people. We are in Big Spring, Tx currently and will be traveling all over West Texas to such places as San Angelo, Dumas, Pampa, Muleshoe, Slaton, Lubbock, Midland, Odessa, and other places. We are just excited to be out here, and are truly looking to God for guidance and direction. Thanks again for all of the prayers and support you have all given us.
Just an update for everyone. We welcomed our daughter Jael LeeAnne Brown into the world on January 29, 2011 and we are
very excited for everyone to meet her. We will be leaving Texas on February 28th to head to Ohio and begin our 5 Mission Conferences in 5 weeks. We are excited about meeting new
people and being with all the Churches and just what God has in store. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support.
